About The Lafayette Grill and Bar:
More than a restaurant, it is a gallery, a performance space, and a film set where over twenty films and the popular television show Law and Order have held location shoots. About Nadia Moussa

.. belly dancer Nadia Moussa has performed with the band Jane's Addiction , Hakim, and for Shikiras album release party and for all sorts of popular events and celebrities. She appreciates her curves. "What's not to love?" she asks. "My body is strong and my dance is a celebration of female power."

From an early age, Nadia has been compelled to express herself through movement and dance. As a teacher, international performer, and choreographer/director of the dance company Cartouche, Nadia strives to communicate the pure essence of the dance with grace, elegance and artistry. Born in the U.S.A. of Lebanese and French heritage, she draws inspiration from both the East and the West. Although firmly rooted in Danse Orientale, her extensive study of Ballet and Modern Dance, as well as Indian, African, Jazz and Flamenco dance, infuses her dance with a rich, vibrant spirit.
    Nadia has graced the stages of  many notable venues, including Lincoln Center, City Center, the Metropolitan Museum, the Public Theater, Madison Square Garden (all in N.Y.C.) and Caesar's Palace. She has also appeared on MTV in an  Alanis Morrisette video.

Nadia has performed at many of the top Middle Eastern cabaret clubs, including Ibis, Layla's and Cedars Of Lebanon, all in N.Y.C.                                               
    She has an M.F.A. in Dance Performance/Choreography from the Tisch School Of The Arts at New York University. Sharing her passion and love of the dance through teaching is another area of focus. Nadia teaches Bellydance at New York University and Fordham University and is on the faculty at Lotus Multicultural Music and Dance Studios in N.Y.C. She has presented lecture demonstrations to children through Lotus' Arts In Education program. Nadia  also teaches classes and workshops throughout Connecticut.
