Photographer Update

December 19, 2002, marks the date when Steve decided to go digital and get back into his still photography exploration. Perhaps it was the gift of the SFS web site on December 1st that provided the inspiration necessary to reignite his passion of photography. He bought a camera and an underwater housing for it. Before long there were lots of fabulous photos downloaded onto my desktop. In Steve’s style, the photos were more than mere snap shots. You can feel the presence behind the lens. The people, the events and our environment were, once again, artistically documented through the alchemist’s eye.

Famous Steve Quotes

Jr. Cadillac is known for its aversion to rehearsals and the band sounds just fine. However, it makes it hard to add new matterial.

When asked what happened to the songs he’s written which have fallen off the song list with Jr Cadillac, in a frustrated moment he said, “I always write these songs that are too hard. We can’t play them!. . . It would require rehearsals.”

Slip Away
Living on the Edge
River of Love
Fast Eddies

When asked what he wants to do next, he says, “I just want to retire. . . and write music”

A couple others:

“Don't ever apolgize for not having a computer.”

“Girls, your ass is grass.” See story by Lorraine Johnson . . .

One night when in the late ’70s Jeff Zience and Steve were driving home from a late night gig. Steve made a comment about Sunday Night Football. Jeff stopped dead in his trracks looked at Steve and said.
“If you were a space alien trying to pass for a human you would have just been busted! No one on this earth doesn’t know about MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL!”
