VDP Studio RENTAL INFOMATION

Share Our Space!

We are looking to share our lovely studio space with the right person. Space is not cheap in Seattle for artists these days. I need to lighten my load a bit and at the same time, it might be an ideal fit for movement, yoga, music, drama, teacher, therapist, photographer or maybe a home school program or group looking for steady rehearsal space. It’s ideal for someone yearning to start up a business practice with limited overhead. Everything is already in place. It could be a win/win situation.

VDP studio has many unused studio hours available. Located in the Fremont neighborhood, our beautiful space is approximately 18’ by 40’, has lots of mirrors, a dressing room and a bathroom. We have thirteen foot ceilings with an overhead light grid system.
There are other rooms and some storage space for props and equipment.

Our studio space is good for photo and video shoots, shoeless movement arts, such as yoga, ti chi, music lessons, lectures, seminars, demonstrations, rehearsals, meetings, movie showing and parties. It’s not good for dance forms with hard shoe requirements but we are amiable to rearranging rugs and furniture.

Furnishings

We have office phone, internet access, folding tables and some chairs, 2 large rolling mirrors, dry erase boards, sound system and dual lighting. We also have a refrigerator, microwave and hot water kitchen sink in separate room.

   
VDP studio is primarily an internet business and belly dance/Middle Eastern Dance studio in the evenings and occasional weekends. Instead of renting our studio out to belly dancers we hire instructors and handle student registration and promotion for classes and workshops. We have an established clientele and promotional machinery in place for our business of 20 years. Belly Dance instructors are welcome to apply to teach a class spot.

Terms

Pay in advance with a $500 deposit. Deposit is returnable at the end of rental contract,
as long as nothing is damaged or missing and studio is clean.
If we have to clean up after your rental, we charge $28  per hour.

Hours

Time can be reserved up to 2 months in advance.

Weekday mornings and afternoons are wide open in availability. Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays as well.

*Note the following hours are Not Available:

Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, 5:30pm - 9:00 pm.
[Sometimes blocks of time may be available during
these days/hours but not primarily and not on-going.]

We guarentee your time slots and make the studio clean and secure.
We request a minimum 2 hour timeblock committment to make it worth our time
and energy to incorporate you into our regular schedule.

Contract Information:

Summer Prices

$40 per hour (minimum 2 hour block) = $80
$28 per hour with minimum 16 hours per month  (4 per week) = $504
$18 per hour with minimum 48 hours per month ( 12 hours a week)=$900
$15 per hour with minimum 72 hours per month (18 hours a week) =$1050

Winter Prices

add $20 per day of any blocked hours for heat.
